For this idiom project called Cat Nap , I use cooler colors such as blue and purple to make the background more night like. I have also used bright colors so that the objects such as the cat and the toy ball would stand out in the background. The cat in this project is emphasized so that the attention would be focused on him. The variety in this project give the viewer a sense of peace and tranquility while filling them with a sense of sleepiness. The cooler colors I have given to this project, such as the blues and purples, represent the colors of the night. The yellows that I have added in the Complementary picture of this project represent the lights of the night, such as the moon and the street lights. The unity of this project creates a feeling of relaxation and the sense of getting ready to go to sleep after a very long day at work or school. This is the monochromatic color scheme I chose. This is the analogous color scheme I chose. This is the complementary color scheme I chose. First, I created three additional art boards for the project. Then I chose the color schemes from the color wheel. Then I fixed some of the drawings so that I would color the picture. Finally, I added the color scheme in each drawing using the fill tool followed by the swatch tool. I have chosen these colors to help emphasize the sleepiness of the cat in these drawings for my project. After receiving some constructive criticism last Thursday, I have decided to make a few changes. I added some color to the background in order to have pure white backgrounds for this project. During last Tuesday, I started making sketches based on nine idioms in my sketchbook. Then, I choose two of the sketches and made two full sized sketches. My class approved the Cat Nap sketch, so I got to work on the digital outline. This is a reference for the cat's colors I will use for my digital Idiom project. First, I got started with making the title for the idiom project. I used simple shapes to get the job done. And this is kinda like the first step to my drawing. I had some difficulty with the body and the arms until I learn that fewer anchor points help make the body. And this is my project in its current state. I have to admit, I'm starting to get the hang of using the pen tool as well as the simple shapes and process of send items back and forth. I also learned that using the pathfinder tool makes things easier for me to connect the shapes. I hope to bring this project to color soon.

I made this name illustration using Adobe Illustration. First, I used the basic shapes tool to create the shapes. Then I connect the shapes in order to form the letters in my name. Finally, I use pathfinder to unite the shapes in the letters of my name. Vector illustration is an illustration created in Adobe Illustration. These types of illustrations can be created with the simplest points, shapes and lines. Vector illustration can also make crystal clear artwork without risking the loss of quality control. An idiom is a group of words that creates a metaphorical meaning. I made these sketches using ink on paper. For the characters, I drew the shapes for each character. Then, I did more details to each character. For the scenery sketch, I traced the castle first. Then I added lines to make it look like the castle is stand above the water. The characters are drawn with organic lines. The horizon and the castle in the fourth sketch are drawn with mechanical lines, with the except of the rooftops. There is an asymmetrical balance in the castle sketch.
