2D Week 5: Figure Ground

 This figure ground piece, In Egypt, creates a feeling of hot weather. The triangles represent the Pyramids of Giza. The snake is added to create a sense of tension and danger. The palm tree indicates the typical vegetation of Egypt.
This figure piece, Momotaro, tells the story of the Japanese Folklore hero, Momotaro. The shapes represent the specific elements from the Momotaro legend. The spherical shape represents the dumplings Momotaro have to the dog, the monkey and the pheasant. The two shapes at the top represent the oni, enemies of Momotaro.
