Poster and Typography Progression, Portfolio Cover Idea


 After taking some helpful advice from my teacher, I took the liberty of creating outlines for the letters and ungrouping them so that they will be able to fit into the hat outlines.


In addition, I have also added gradients to the objects and lowered the transparency so that the reader will be able to view the words.
Thus, this is the final result for my poster.
For the front cover of my portfolio, I decided to use one of my illustrations I Mae on Adobe Photoshop during my breaks in between classes.

I made these drawings with pen on paper. First, I went crazy with the scribbles. Second, I draw my avatar in the scribble-like scenery. Finally, I've added some more detail to the scenery. The color for these drawings is monochrome. The cross hatchings of the lines in each drawing are for making the objects darker in appearance. My avatar is drawn with organic lines. Week 9: Values

The techniques I used for this art piece is cross-hatching, scribbling, and shading. I used pencils to make the values of this piece. I used a ruler to draw the vertical and horizontal border lines in this piece. The gradience of the drawing go from black to white and visa versa.

Selfies and the Difference Between Selfies and Self-Portraits

A selfie is a self-portrait photo taken with a smartphone to share on social network sites. A self-portrait is an artist's portrait made by the very same artist. This self-portrait was done by Albrecht Durer in 1500. It shows Durer wearing a fancy coat with a fur collar. It was made with oil on linen wood. Durer made this self-portrait to portray himself as a religious figure. This self-portrait was done by Frida Kahlo in 1940. Frida Kahlo paints herself with her hair cropped. This self-portrait was made with oil on canvas. Frida Kahlo painted this self-portrait because she wanted to stand out amongst female artists of her time.
