Idiom Project Progress: Colored

First, I created three additional art boards for the project. Then I chose the color schemes from the color wheel. Then I fixed some of the drawings so that I would color the picture. Finally, I added the color scheme in each drawing using the fill tool followed by the swatch tool. I have chosen these colors to help emphasize the sleepiness of the cat in these drawings for my project.
After receiving some constructive criticism last Thursday, I have decided to make a few changes. I added some color to the background in order to have pure white backgrounds for this project. Then, I made a few adjustments to my character's legs and feet as much as possible to make him look more relaxed. I also made a few color adjustments to make the items look more noticeable in the project. As I stated before, the purpose of giving colors to the Idiom project was to emphasize the feeling of sleepiness in the artwork.

I made these drawings with pen on paper. First, I went crazy with the scribbles. Second, I draw my avatar in the scribble-like scenery. Finally, I've added some more detail to the scenery. The techniques I used for this art piece is cross-hatching, scribbling, and shading. I used pencils to make the values of this piece. I used a ruler to draw the vertical and horizontal border lines in this piece. The gradience of the drawing go from black to white and visa versa.

A selfie is a self-portrait photo taken with a smartphone to share on social network sites. A self-portrait is an artist's portrait made by the very same artist. This self-portrait was done by Albrecht Durer in 1500. It shows Durer wearing a fancy coat with a fur collar. It was made with oil on linen wood. Durer made this self-portrait to portray himself as a religious figure. This self-portrait was done by Frida Kahlo in 1940. Frida Kahlo paints herself with her hair cropped. This self-portrait was made with oil on canvas. Frida Kahlo painted this self-portrait because she wanted to stand out amongst female artists of her time.
