Halloween Doodle Series

I made this series of doodles using ink, pencil, paper, and colored pencils. Starting off, I drew each character with pencil. Then I traced the lines using a pen. Finally, I added a background for each drawing.

The majority of the drawings in this series have monochromatic color. The only exception is the last drawing, which have pink, purple and orange colors. The lines are cross hatched for the roof tops, the sand and the grass. Each of the characters were drawn with organic lines. The only mechanic lines are for the buildings in the first, second and fifth drawings and the pyramid in the fourth drawing.

I made this series The Toons of Halloween to introduce people to the classic monsters and Halloween themed characters. The first drawing Witch Kitty represents the witches and the black cats that accompany them. The second drawing Alicard the Vampire Bat represents the sophisticated and charismatic nature of vampires. The third drawing Frankpanda is a tribute to Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. The fourth drawing Little Anubis is a tribute to horror movies featuring a mummy. The fifth drawing Murgatroyd's Halloween Fun features a gentleman named Murgatroyd having fun on Halloween, not to mention a slight nod to the Gilbert and Sullivan comic operetta, Ruddigore. The sixth drawing Seth the Sea Creature Swimmer is a tribute to sea creatures featured in horror movies. The last drawing The Werewolf in Purple, Orange and Pink features my avatar as a werewolf. The purpose of this series is to give a cute and lighthearted perspective on Halloween and the famous figures of the horror genre.
