Scribbles
Most of the lines I have drawn have contour lines. Some of the objects I have drawn have organic lines for the people, structures and landmarks. I have also given each drawing monochromic colors. The buildings in my last scribble have near geometric shapes. There are also some messages I made on some pictures, include the phrase "I'm here", to represent Jesus' twelve apostles. The mountains in the seventh drawing have an asymmetrical balance. The dark contrast is noticeable in the fourth and fifth drawings.
The first piece I made, A Surrealist's Fairy Tale, pays a tribute to famous surreal artists like Salvadore Dali. The second piece I made, Not Your Average Zoo, is about a strange looking creature being displayed at an odd-looking geometric zoo. The third piece I made, Why Not Eggrolls?, is a light-hearted caricature tribute to my aunt who died last Saturday. The fourth piece I made, Baby Octopus at Play, is a kind of metaphor of how some children grow up fast in life. The fifth piece I made, Stepping on Cloud #9, paints a symbolic balance between dreams and reality. The sixth piece I made, Joyous Shout At Sunset, is about praising God and how lucky people are to be alive. The seventh piece I made, Baba Yaga's New Neighbor, is about a neighbor who met Baba Yaga one night. The final piece, Little Steamboat Near the Skyline, is about how one newcomer is compared to the big city. The purpose of each piece is to catch the attention of the viewer and take a deeper look into the picture behind the scribbles that I made.
