Special Edition - Sottile

Sotille designed this piece, Brownie Girl Scout Badge, through metal-smithing. The piece is 4.5'' L * 3.75'' W * 0.5 H''. The materials Sotille used for this piece are Copper brass, fine silver and flocking. The found items that she used are a girl scout pin and a brownie pin.

The triangular shape of the brownie pin is much of the focus of the Brownie Girl Scout Badge. There is also a hint of vintage involving the Brownie pin. The mechanical lines are present on the brownie pin and the outside part of the girl scout pin. There's also a wooden texture on both pins.

The purpose of the Brownie Girl Scout Badge is to bring attention to the research Sotille has done. According to Sotille, the Brownies are small, magical creatures like pixies and elves. The Brownie Girl Scout Badge fills me with curiosity about the Brownies. This piece will introduce viewers to what the brownies are.
