I made these sketches using ink on paper. For the characters, I drew the shapes for each character. Then, I did more details to each character. For the scenery sketch, I traced the castle first. Then I added lines to make it look like the castle is stand above the water. The characters are drawn with organic lines. The horizon and the castle in the fourth sketch are drawn with mechanical lines, with the except of the rooftops. There is an asymmetrical balance in the castle sketch. There is plenty of negative space in the character sketches. The color scheme for each sketch is greyscale. This is part three of the Mikado project I'm working on.
